The Irish Environmental Protection Agency commissioned the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication as their academic partner to help conduct a nationally representative survey of public climate change beliefs, risk perceptions, policy preferences, and behavior in Ireland.
Interview dates: August 30 – October 6, 2023. Interviews: 1,355 Adults (18+). Average margin of error +/- 3 percentage points at the 95% confidence level. We previously released the report: Climate Change in the Irish Mind, 2023, which provides topline results from the survey. The current report identifies, defines, and describes four distinct climate audiences in Ireland.
