climate-distress-and-climate-action-fig3

This bar chart shows the percentage of Americans who say they “definitely” or “probably” would join a campaign to convince elected officials to take action to reduce global warming or are already currently participating in such a campaign by groups who experienced no psychological distress about global warming at all or at least one feature of distress “several days” or more often over the previous 2 weeks. Americans who are distressed about global warming are more likely to say they would join a climate campaign. Data: Climate Change in the American Mind, December 2022. Refer to the data tables in the Methods section in the Climate Note for all percentages.
