This bar chart shows the percentages of responses to the open-ended question “What do you think is the greatest threat that global warming poses to the United States, if any?” by Republicans and Democrats. Responses to the question were categorized into 11 themes by a team of researchers. Democrats are more likely than Republicans to think weather extremes and changes are the greatest threats from global warming. Data: Climate Change in the American Mind, March 2021.
