YPCCC is currently seeking a student WordPress developer for long-term projects


NOTE: This opportunity is available to current Yale students only. Preference will go to students who can commit a year or more to this role.

Web Developer

The Yale Program on Climate Change Communication is looking for a student with basic web chops (HTML5, CSS, and Javascript) to help makeover one of our main wordpress sites, Yale Climate Connections.

10-15 hrs a week (spring and summer position with the potential for staying on through the 2020-2021 academic year) 

Responsibilities:

  • Modify our existing wordpress theme to incorporate new color scheme, fonts, and layout changes.
  • Perform some basic content management which may include creating or modifying existing site pages, posts, and categories.
  • Work with our web developer to determine additional requirements for the site or changes to be made.

Desired skills:

  • Some experience navigating the admin panel within WordPress.
  • Ability to translate design mockups into the relevant HTML and CSS.
  • Self-starter, scrappy, and ability to work fairly independently through the design changes.
    Willingness to check-in regularly via Zoom, Slack, or Skype calls.
