Masooma Rahmaty

Masooma Rahmaty is a Master of Environmental Management graduate from Yale School of the Environment, where she focused on climate policy, international climate governance, and emerging solutions for decarbonization. Her interests lie at the intersection of environmental justice, diplomacy, energy systems, and the governance and environmental impacts of artificial intelligence (AI). These interests are shaped by her work with the International Peace Institute, United Nations Foundation, ACTIVATE, and the Permanent Mission of Afghanistan to the United Nations, as well as her time as a Kerry Fellow at Yale’s Jackson School of Global Affairs. In the future, she hopes to help bridge global policy and innovation to support more inclusive and climate-resilient futures for vulnerable communities.
