Lara Briggs

Lara Briggs is a PhD student in the Department of Political Science. Her research is in comparative energy and environmental politics, focusing on how the renewable energy transition is changing politics within and across EU member-states. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis, with majors in Political Science (comparative politics & quantitative methods concentrations) and Environmental Analysis. During her time at WashU, she worked for several years as a climate associate for the WashU Climate Change Program (now under the Center for the Environment) and interned in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance.
