Hong Tien Vu

Hong Tien Vu is the Clyde Betty Reed Professor of Journalism and an Associate Professor at the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Kansas. His research interests are primarily concerned with digital technologies and science communication including climate change communication. Within that area, Hong is interested in understanding how climate change is communicated in the news and social media content. His research also explores the effects of different content aspects on the public. Hong holds a BS in linguistics from Vietnam National University, an MS in journalism from the University of Kansas, and PhD also in journalism from The University of Texas at Austin.
