Helena Souffrant
Helena (Lena) Souffrant is pursuing a Master’s of Environmental Management at the Yale School of the Environment. She is interested in water resources and ecology–both research and applied systems. From mapping PFAS pollution hotspots throughout historically redlined districts in the Chesapeake Bay, to monitoring coral reefs and human shoreline activity in Zanzibar, to curating an exhibit on the colonial histories of natural resource extraction and avian specimen collection, Helena enjoys finding unique ways to communicate multidisciplinary environmental issues and trends. Helena is originally from Cleveland, OH. She enjoys bird watching, hiking, making jewelry, and playing both the mountain and hammered dulcimers.
