These dot plots show the percentage of registered voters, broken down by political party and ideology, who strongly or somewhat support the following policies: strengthening enforcement of industrial pollution limits in low-income communities and communities of color that are disproportionately impacted by air and water pollution, requiring companies to protect their workers from dangerous levels of heat, and preventing utilities from shutting off the electricity or gas of customers who are late paying their bills during periods of extreme cold or heat. A majority of registered voters support protecting people from disproportionate harm from environmental hazards. Data: Climate Change in the American Mind, Politics & Policy, Spring 2026.
