These bar charts show the percentage of Americans who are very worried, moderately worried, a little worried, or not at all worried that the following might harm their local area: extreme heat, flooding, wildfires, hurricanes, droughts, water shortages, air pollution, water pollution, electricity power outages, or diseases carried by mosquitoes and ticks. A majority of Americans are worried about harm from extreme weather events or related impacts in their local area. Data: Climate Change in the American Mind, Beliefs & Attitudes, Spring 2026.
