Spencer Blackwood is a Program Manager at YPCCC. He coordinates day-to-day operations for survey research projects, contributes to data analysis and visualization, and oversees projects from survey design through data collection and reporting. He also analyzes data in Noah Planavsky’s lab, leveraging geospatial techniques to optimize carbon sequestration estimation protocols. Spencer obtained his B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Yale College, where he concentrated in engineering and data science. His bachelor’s thesis grew out of work he did with YPCCC as an undergraduate, analyzing disparities between extreme weather patterns and risk perception.
